Dr. Gadsden continues her AIDS prevention pursuits focusing on African American women in drug treatment. She a goal of integrating couples counseling, i.e., these women and their main sex partners, into her AIDS prevention education intervention efforts.  Assistant Professor and Chair of the Social Welfare Policy sequence at Morgan State University, Dr. Gadsden teaches in that area and also in substance abuse. Her current goal is to develop and implement a substance abuse certificate program and an MSW substance abuse concentration.

 




John Korkow, PhD

John Korkow is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Drug and Alcohol Studies at the University of South Dakota, and as a Level 3 Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor with Lutheran Social Services, also in South Dakota.   His research interests are alcohol and drug neurology, alcohol and drug counseling, Native Americans in college, and expansion of the use of qualitative research methodology in research (particularly grounded theory).

Dr. Lori Phelps

Dr. Lori Phelps is a full-time lecturer in the Human Services Department, College of Health and Human Development, at the California State University Fullerton, where she coordinates the Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention track she developed for the Bachelor's degree in Human Services.  Dr. Phelps is the immediate past president of CAADE and now serves as their Executive Director. In addition to her other duties, she is currently acting co-chair of the Human Services Department at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA

Mark S. Woodford, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Counselor Education at The College of New Jersey.  He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor whose research interests are in the fields of substance abuse and family counseling, specifically gender-issues in counseling and addressing substance abuse among adolescents and young adults.
